I've read a good book called "Men of Purpose" by Peter Masters who told the story of some great scientists...

I suffered at school with Maxwell's formulas... i was so surprised to learn that he was also a preacher !!!
And it was also the case of Faraday, Sir Thomson-Kelvin...

I think there are other ones, but i don't remember who...

Do you know if there are great physicists or mathematicians who were christian, and where i can possibly read their biography ?;)

I recommend that you read the book Men of Science, Men of God. It has short biographies (1 page or less each) of 101 great pioneering scientists who were/are Christians. Then from there you can do more research on the individual scientists that interest you most. :)

Ephesians 3, 18

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

S.PAUL says Christian Scientists can be Saints.......!
I am sure in the new creation there will be a new planet for them also!
They will be the Scientists of God..........

Are you Tamtam92 convinced of that?

Of course I am.
But as i find it particularly difficult to witness in a scientific milieu, i found it very encouraging to read about the life of christian scientists ;)

It might even become usefull to witnessing, as i can show them as example. I know that not all scientists believe in science, of course, but i need practical examples.

Newton was certainly big-time into theology, but if I recall he has some pretty odd beliefs. (Such as rejecting the trinity.) Kepler always seemed like a rather prideful guy to me, but I did like a prayer I came across a prayer that he placed in his Harmonice mundi :

I give Thee thanks, O Lord creator, because I have delighted in thy handiwork and I have exulted in the works of thy hands. Behold: now I have completed the work of my profession, having used as much of the ability as Thou hast given me. If anything unworthy of thy designs has been put forth by me, inspire me also so that I may set it right. If I have been allured into brashness by the wonderful beauty of thy works, or if I have loved my own glory among men, while advancing in work designed for thy glory, gently and mercifully pardon me; and finally, deign graciously to cause that these demonstrations may lead to thy glory and the salvation of souls and nowhere be an obstacle to that. Amen.

Sometimes the best Christian scientists, especially historically, are the ones able to look beyond the dogma of religion and see how the world really works. They are the ones who truly provide a good example...
How the world really works ???

So you believe there's a difference between a godly knowledge of the world and reality ?
So you believe that one can't be a good scientist and believe in the Bible ?

If that's the case, i'd just say you're wrong...

How unfortunate that some regular commentators here do not think you can be a science, a "real scientist" and be a Christian.

Care to give a non consol example?

I've seen a whole lot of acceptance of great scientists who where Christian.

However, they have one trait is that their scientific achievements never came from ignoring physical evidence in preference for an idea they preferred for emotional reasons.
