I sure hope God has a sound proofed room in heaven to stick this sort of performance! For some of us Christians, having to endure that would be pure torture, NOT heaven.
I'm sorry you don't like worshiping the Lord. I hope you do at some point.
Check out worship in the NT and see if you see anything like that worldy concert dressed up in religious garb and called worship in the NT. No wonder former bastians of the NT faith are going to hell in the proverbial handbasket! Many are confusing enthusiasm, show and emotions as worship.
I'm sorry you don't like worshiping the Lord. I hope you do at some point.
Amen!
What part of this article are you guys clapping and rejoicing over? Maybe this part:
"Gersztyn, his mind altered by an estimated 100 LSD trips in the 1960s, convinced his girlfriend to head out to Southern California with him to join the Children of God."
I was smoking pot one day when Jesus appeared to me in a vision, he recalled. He told me he was the source of all love, then said, Come follow me.
Or, maybe this part:
"Today, the music born out of that movement has grown into a huge industry. Estimates of its annual revenue range from $500 million to $2 billion depending on who does the calculating and what bands are included as 'contemporary Christian.'"
Maybe the concluding part:
"In his book, however, Gersztyn writes that the emotionalism and improvisational spirit that inspires a great Grateful Dead concert is not that much different than the Holy Spirit that drives parishioners to gospel music ecstasy in many African-American churches.
'In both instances, he writes, the experience is communal, with the audience or congregation being as much a part of the show as the performers.'"
Thank God I did not see the name "Baptist" anywhere in this disgusting record.
Oh for goodness sake, the people of God were praising God long before pot smoking drug addicts started praise him too.
If someone with an evil eye wants to label everyone who praises God with a set of drums in its group they can do that.
Just because one person buys into that doesnt make everyone who believes to the contrary more unholier then that person.

I was only making reference to the post that I quoted.
I was curious to see if this person is sinless.
I think he was responding to ChaseWind, not you.
