Romney Says He's 'Fine' With Gay Couples Adopting Children

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said on Thursday that while he opposes same-sex marriage, he is “fine” with gay couples adopting children. The presumptive nominee also declined to criticize President Obama’s reversal on the issue, saying he would “respect the right of the president to reach the conclusion he has.”

In his most detailed comments to date on the issue of civil rights for gay people, Romney told Fox News host Neil Cavuto, “I know many gay couples that are able to adopt children. That’s fine.

is the election going to be only about gay stuff? I'm going to get bored pretty soon then:)

Well said Lady bug.

Gay issues are as obsessed about by Liberals as Conservatives.

Both sides should focus on the real issues of this election...

It's the economy stupid. Oh wait, one candidate doesn't want to talk about that.

Well, you certainly can't expect him to campaign on his record of accomplishments, now can you?

his position doesn't quite make sense. he doesn't mind that 2 gay people are raising kids "out of wedlock"?

And some wonder why I dislike Americans...

I'm glad to know Romney is not entirely a git.

yeah but don't you get my post at all?

the Republican platform is pro-traditional marriage. yet Romney says it's OK to raise children without being married. I thought people would catch the drift of my post.

I caught it with a catcher's mit. I've really HAD IT with politics. The Republicans uphold the anti-gay stuff, which I agree with, and the pro-life stuff, which I also love. But with all the warmongering, padding the outsourcing elite CEO's with lavish tax cuts and write-offs, protecting the wealthy and going after labor unions like mine, attacking pensions like mine, and mocking and blaming my profession (education) for every social ill we have while polluting the heck out of our environment and wanting to plunder and eliminate social security and medicare, I'm not impressed with them either. In the end, the Democrats have a penchant for European approaches to government and no discipline with loose moral standards, the Republicans are a top-heavy country club that protects a harsh capitalist winner-take-all social darwinism.

Both options suck eggs. Both have great good, and intense evil. Anyone who thinks either party is in their best interests is delusional IMHO.

I said it numerous times, I have no problem with a homosexual couple raising kids. Better in a home that has a loving environment than for the children to rot away in a foster home.

Exactly...

.

That just about sums up all Western political parties when they are in office .
