Is it possible to think you have absolute certitude of your salvation but be wrong?

Yes, but sin draws man away from Christ. Everyman sins which is why there can be no certainty.

My LORD said not to worry about that, told me this:

"Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18

and this in another pace:

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

So, I'm hearing that EO have no idea whether they are saved.

And, I'm hearing that RC have no idea whether they are saved.

And, I'm hearing some do believe they know they are saved.

Fair enough?

Let me add to define "saved". Born again from above by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Why then are we told to work out our salvation in fear and trembling? And answer me this, why do you still need a savior if you are already saved?

Is this a serious question? For there is no salvation except through Christ. He is the one who saves us. We just know we are saved. We can be assured. Why can we be assured? Because Christ has imputed His own righteousness to us His body. He has set His Spirit in us. We are His Holy Temple. If you cannot trust Christ to save you then u certainly can't trust yourelf. For we are but mere clay molded by the Potters Hand.

I'm saying what is the need to continue going to church etc. if you are saved already. Why are you still in need of a savior if you're saved?

I believe we have hope in being saved.

We go by the saying: I was saved when Christ died on the Cross and resurrected. I am being saved, and I will be saved.

We need an object of our gratitude.
We like to hang out with each other.
I know it sounds crazy, doesn't it?

Is this realy the way you think or are you just playing "devil's advocate" to make some point?

Sounds like you either need to make up your mind or use three different terms.
Get saved (bing), act grateful(bang), go to heaven(boom).

If you're "saved" how can you grow in your salvation? It makes no sense.
Well apparently being saved is different in Evangelical Christianity. Apparently you pray a prayer and believe, then you are saved initially but you must grow so you start getting sanctified and God helps you grow to be a better Christian and desire the Bible than at the end you hopefully are a great Christian. I think that's how it is but be warned it can be different depending how each of the understands it.

I did.
You've asked me twice now about needing Christ post-salvation,
didn't you like my first answer?
You didn't provide an adequate answer. You just said you still needed Christ for fwellowship etc. I ask again, what more can a savior do if one is already 100% sure of his/her salvation? Let me use a medical analogy here. Let's say you had cancer and you were cured, would you still need treatment for the disease after you were 100% cured? Of course not. BUT, as anyone who has experience with cancer knows, it can resurface at any time. Now, if one is 100% assured of his salvation why would the services of the great Physician (Christ) still be needed unless there was a chance to condemn oneself through sin which separates us from Christ?
