Did anyone ever think of this? Why do you think it takes so long to dig up fossils? They seriously spend years chipping away rock to get one piece of bone. Maybe it's because they're ACTUALLY CARVING THE FOSSILS OUT OF STONE. Fossils are just carved stone. They were not already there. The scientists created them out of nothing.

If you just leave bones lying on the ground, which is how they are left when something dies, they do not fossilize. After years they get broken and smashed, water washes away all the calcium, and nothing is left. Fossils are just another myth to promote evolution and deny the reality of God's work.

Hahaha, I can't believe you're actually writing this. "Fossils are carved stone" is the funniest joke I've ever heard.

The creation/evolution debate regarding fossils isn't whether they are real or not, but when these creatures lived, how they died, etc.

Many creation scientists collect fossils. I don't think they would be carving them out of stone to seek to prove evolution, do you? :)

I don't know about that, but anyone who puts stock in fossils that are supposed to be older than the actual age of the earth ... needs to reconsider their position.

...one way or another. :)

ok, ok, I'm leaving now.

No fossils arn't fake.. fossils form when minerals replace the bone.. The fossil record is a preservation of evidence.. no one would go along with your theory.. including most, or i suspect all creationists..

Where I live there are masses of fossils and they are in gravel, so you dig and the fossils are just there, or you look down and you have just walked on one, my daughter found one 3 inches across the first time I challenged her to find a fossil when she was about 3.

When I first came to England I lived 20 miles from the Southern coast and that whole area is a mile deep in tiny fossils, that is all the ground is made out of. Had fun on the beach in Denmark too, picked up those nice spiral fossils, a few percent of the entire beach and I suspect of the whole of Denmark come to that, is fossils.

What's the evidence that these fossil bones are real? Are you taking the word of evolution scientists?

Didn't you note what was said before? Creationists collect fossils. Why? To support evolution? I think not. Fossils are real. What remains is what is a plausible explanation.

Haven't you ever found a fossil? Have you ever looked? Sometimes you break a rock and there it is ... a trilobite. Do you think that someone placed it there to fake you out? Do you think rocks routinely break into shapes of animals?

There's a reason why your fellow creationists don't support your guess ... it's untenable.

I applaud your creative thinking. But you have three choices I can think of: 1) believe that the rest of humanity is so dumb as to fall for fossils and that it took l'il ol' you to guess the truth, or 2) believe that the rest of humanity is not dumb, but instead you are brilliant, or 3) recognize that when an average human posits a guess while sitting on their sofa in an area that has been studied for centuries by Christians, and Buddhists, and Hindus, and Muslims, and atheists, and whatever... that that average human is probably wrong.

it's not 'evolutionist scientists' everyone knows what fossils are.. is this a wind up? the animals were buried during the flood, covered in sediment, and the minerals replaced the bones.. i've walked across a beach with amonites all over the place.. some over 2' across.. i've been fossil hunting myself and found amonites in soft rocks, .. if you'r serious.. do some investigation into it for yourself and go out on a fossil hunt and dig 'em up for yourself..

I've gone fossil hunting twice at lym regis.. it is not easy as everyone is at it.. i only found amonite impressions in soft grey 'rock' from a 'something'- flow'.. it's actually mud that is part way rock, but very soft.. i bought some fossils in Morocco.. they have them for sale a lot.. but they are not always good quality.. but I got a very nice trilobite.. you can still see the impressions of the eyes..
I find it hard to 'come out' sometimes and admit that I am a creationist.. as I know it would upset some people.. inc. my father when he was alive.. he asked me 'how old is that fossil'? so I gave him the answer he expected.. about 200 million years.. i dont think that at all.. but anything for an easy life..

... Fossils are just another myth to promote evolution and deny the reality of God's work.

Large fossil remains found in China were recorded around 300 AD and believed at the time to be dragon bones.

More recently, in 1676 in a quarry 20 miles North of where I am, a large piece of rock resembling a bone was found in a limestone quarry and sent to the museum in Oxford where it was identified as the lower end of a femur and that it was too large to belong to any known species.

In 1818 a French anatomist visiting Oxford determined that the bones being found belonged to a very large lizard. Parts of other individuals were found and the name 'Megalosaurus' was applied, meaning 'large lizard'.

In 1842 the term 'dinosaur' was invented by Richard Owen.

The theory of evolution was developed after these fossils were found, around 1860.

After years they get broken and smashed, water washes away all the calcium, and nothing is left. Fossils are just another myth to promote evolution and deny the reality of God's work.

Fossils (from Latin fossus, literally "having been dug up") are the preserved remains or traces of animals, plants, and other organisms from the remote past. The totality of fossils, both discovered and undiscovered, and their placement in fossiliferous (fossil-containing) rock formations and sedimentary layers (strata) is known as the fossil record. The study of fossils across geological time, how they were formed, and the evolutionary relationships between taxa (phylogency) are some of the most important functions of the science of paleontology.

Fossils are typically distinguished by minimum age, most often the arbitrary date of 10,000 years ago. Hence, fossils range in age from the youngest at the start of the Holocene Epoch to the oldest from the Archaean Eon several billion years old. The observations that certain fossils were associated with certain rock strata led early geologists to recognize a geological timescale in the 19th century. The development of radiometric dating techniques in the early 20th century allowed geologists to determine the numerical or "absolute" age of the various strata and thereby the included fossils.

Like extant organisms, fossils vary in size from microscopic, such as single bacterial cells only one micrometer in diameter, to gigantic, such as dinosaurs and trees many meters long and weighing many tons. A fossil normally preserves only a portion of the deceased organism, usually that portion that was partially mineralized during life, such as the bones and teeth of vertebrates, or the chitinous exoskeletons of invertebrates. Preservation of soft tissues is exquisitely rare in the fossil record. Fossils may also consist of the marks left behind by the organism while it was alive, such as the footprint or feces (coprolites) of a reptile. These types of fossil are called trace fossils (or ichnofossils), as opposed to body fossils. Finally, past life leaves some markers that cannot be seen but can be detected in the form of biochemical signals; these are known as chemofossils or biomarkers.

Heaven forfend!!! If we are so bold as to take the word of evolution scientists, I'm sure we will grow horns and fangs. And we'd burn in hell:

Reasons for believing fossils are not man-made include:

1. The quantity of fossils exceeds the complete industrial capacity of the planet
2. Fossils were being found before the Theory of Evolution existed.

Add the dating evidence from sedimentary rocks some of which are now metamorphic rocks, and the dates imbedded in igneous rocks, and there can be only one conclusion:

Satan made the Earth.

There is an alternative, and it is used by many Young Earth Creationists.

Declare the whole of biology and geology as man’s attempt to run away from God. That in turn means all atheists actually sincerely believe in God and that has been stated many times here on CF.

You can use the results of all these things, but you mustn't ever understand them. Genetics and evolution are out but you can do animal breeding as long as you don't get into the theory.

Declare Cosmology, of course, and physics (there are people in CF who believe the speed of light was different in past, that is impossible but it doesn’t stop people hoping, and people who believe time moved at a different speed which is pretty meaningless) to be a product of fools.

Then just reject: humanism, philosophy of religion, and the rest of philosophy, and most of theology and sociology and psychology and natural history, anthropology and human history.

Just about everything discovered since the Dark Ages ended, and you can be a happy Young Earth Creationist. It is that simple.
