Can anyone suggest some good Christian songs dealing with drug/alcohol problems?

And overcoming them? A friend of mine is having some issues and I'm trying to find some good music for her. Music always helps her through stuff. She mostly likes rock, but any kind of music is fine.

Superchick and Supertones (RIP) both have written multiple songs dealing with addictions.
Superchick songs most specifically: Courage and Hero

I know there's a lot of other ones, but apparently I can think of any specific ones right now.

I think the following songs would be inspiring or helpful. Some of them deal with addiction, some of them deal with setting yourself right with God and a relationship with him (without being too "worshippy" or "preachy"). Tobymac is more hip-hop and the others are on the hard rock side.

Irene by Tobymac
When In Doubt by Thousand Foot Krutch
The Party Song by Emery
The Terrible Secret by Emery
Missing Pages by Seventh Day Slumber
The Fight by The Classic Crime
Self-Destruct & Die by Dead Poetic
Down by Kutless

they're not technically a christian band but the U2 song Running to Stand Still is I think about overcoming drug use

I was just about to list that one too. "Bad" is also another U2 song, both of which Bono wrote about friends and people in Dublin who were struggling with drugs. There are a lot of great U2 songs that could fit into this category.

I don't know if it's actually about drugs but Switchfoot's "The Fatal Wound" hints at the use of drugs and sudden death.

How could this happen to me by Simple Plan

They are a secular band but this is a good song, I would actually show your friend the video, you can find it on youtube.com it is about one of their friends who was killed in a drunk driver related car crash. A pastor who works for SANE-Sooner Alcoholics and Narcotics Education shows this when he talks to students about alcohol.
