The Shephanim are not a mighty people, yet they make their home in rocks.

Can someone shed some light on this Proverb or who has a Commentary on it? I know this is a furry little animal also known as a Rock Hyrax..

What, exactly, do you need to "shed light on"? The author says he's giving examples of creatures "that are smallhttp://www.bible.org/netbible/pro30_notes.htm#3063, but they are exceedingly wise". He then gives examples of how their "wisdom" gives them great survivability despite their apparent physical insignificance. In other words, wisdom overcomes other shortcomings, wisdom is more important than other things.
