Exactly. And it is an effort most days.

You know what, though? He's there. It amazes me that even when I blow it in a major way, He's there. Waiting for me to run to Him and repent. Sometimes I wait because I feel so badly for 'letting Him down again', but He KNOWS me, know what I mean? He loves me anyway.

Look at David and all the wrong things he did and yet God called him "A man after God's own heart". Wow. Wow. That's where I want to be. Not afraid to run to Him, but to always run to Him right away.
*wink*
David is my example,
for my faults and his seem to run alike.

so I read his psalms, 51 and 77, and ask, no beg,
for the creation of that clean heart again.
To close that gap, the void, the emptyness
I have put between myself and the Father.

and then remembering the prodagal son parable too:)

Well sweetie be careful. Try not to over do it and if your back starts hurting, stop and let them finish the job when they get home.
I did what I could...got the sidewalk done...mandatory by the town...did most of the driveway...they can do it more later...I am DONE. Shouldn't of done what I did..but had to be done. PLUS it helped work off some anger...IF a certain someone on this board (NOT THIS THREAD) doesn't stop harrassing me...I AM leaving. This is a freakin' board...not real life...and it certainly isn't worth being harrassed over. Can't put them on ignore cause they are a mod...

Mellie, re the harassment--if someone hadn't been praying for me through the last episode here at CF, I know I would not have come back. Somebody prayed, I know Spring was one of them, and my friend Jan another. Maybe there were others. I can't tell you how far down I got. But they reached out to me and let me know that they loved me. I am so grateful to them.

I want to give back to you what was given to me so generously, to lift you in prayer and ask the Lord to give you wisdom, grace, peace and many blessings.

Remember you are loved, God loves you, and so do many others here.

Hey, should you be shoveling? Don't you have a bad back? Take it easy. One time, and this is embarrassing, I went for a walk with Bethani several years ago in the winter. I slipped on black ice and landed flat on my back. My back hasn't been the same since. It really bothered me for a few years and now only bothers me when it's really cold out. Anyway, she told me I looked like a gingerbread man laying there and she was laughing so hard, she could hardly help me up.

My daughter (same one as above) cleans the house when she's mad about something. Needless to say, her house is usually spotless...:D

Yuck. I had a nap and felt really yucky when I got up. I hate that. I took an allergy med this morning and I think that was the problem. I can't take certain stuff with other stuff. I am so smart after the fact...:sigh:

Isn't there a supervisor you could report them to? I would hope that they (mods) have to answer to someone if they are doing something wrong.

Well, I went back and read all the pages I missed, and finally caught up. This thread moves fast.

Mary, I am praying for you and your family.

Gayle, that was a lovely sermon. Fear is something I have battled through my life. The Lord has had to deal with me many times. Even this morning, He gave me a prophetic word for our congregation, and the first thing I said to Him was, not me, Lord, please use someone else. But then I thought about it and went forward to give that word anyway. And people were blessed, because I was obedient, because it was not my word anyway which God had put on my heart.

So I got my pastor's nod and took the microphone. I began telling our people that Jesus came to set the captives free. That it is not His will for us to be in bondage to anything. That He came to set us free. I urged them to open their hearts to Him, and let Him set them free. I told them to cry out to God, that He would set them free.

Then I went to the back, which is where I had been, and interceded some more, and knew--absolutely knew--in my heart that people were crying out to God and He was setting them free. Our God is so good!

Our pastor picked up the word and exhorted us as well. Yes, Jesus came to set the captives free!

I believe with all my heart that there is only one Holy Spirit, and He ministers to His people. Jesus came to set us free!

I am being set free as well. Free from the fear that has kept me from obeying God because I was worried about what people thought.

I am tired of this snare I have lived in:

[bible]Proverbs 29:25[/bible]

It is time for me to put my trust in the Lord, and know that HE will keep me safe.

That sermon was mostly for me...she said with a laugh...I knew others needed it because everyone is afraid...I certainly did not mean to direct it at anyone...I guess if I do one again I will put a disclaimer on it.
I apologize Mellie if I upset you...I never meant it for you...I meant it to be edifying. I thought the other day what of the hard sermons I will need to give...that will convict do I have the strength of character to do those.
I wonder...and felt much doubt last night and today...in my calling...I need quiet time with Him and I need to be still. I am under attack but am quietly fighting it and will continue to do that...be blessed dear ones....sorry you had such a bad headache Breeny hope it is better.
Love to all.
