Jerrysh have you read Fruchtenbaum's book "Footsteps of the Messiah"?

I have bought several copies have given them to others.

Very good.

I am a real fan of Arnold Fruchtenbaum's.

.

Not yet, I am still going through Missing Link, with a fine tooth comb, so much of his stuff just ties it all together, finally! What I really have learned from him is that the Bible is more literal than I had ever dreamed it to be in the past.

I understand that the information I provide may not be addressing the topic of the thread directly, and that there is a proliferation of "Christian Bookstore" websites available, but I have found the below to offer many excellent dispensational commentaries. This probably has already been referenced, but I provide nonetheless for those who are unfamiliar with the site.

Who here hasn't read Cornelius Stam's book "Things That Differ" ... ?

Here is a weblink ... http://www.bijbel.nl/things_that_differ.htm

I find that off the web I get a little bleary eyed ... so if you prefer a printed version PM me and I will send you a Microsoft Word version to print out your own copy.

Or of course you can find it at many book stores.

Brother Stam was a little biased to a full-on Mid-Acts viewpoint ... as he was President of the Berean Bible Society ... but even if you don't 100% agree with all of his assertions this is probably the VERY best book in the WHOLE library of Christian Theologians to get you thinking. To piece together things which really didn't tie until you read this book.

Quickly followed by his four volume study on Acts and then his book on Romans.

If I could have but one prayer answered ... it would be that all Christians everywhere would understand what Stam was asserting in "Things That Differ".

Not that they would all come to agree ... but that they would all read it and understand.

Hey ... if any of you are embarked on a study or area of interest PM me where your interest lies ...

It is probable I have a study which focuses on that in my soft-copy library. I have bought the rights to some to share ... and others I have weblinks to ... and still more I can point you to so that you may buy it on your own.

I started a study of the word "mystery" as it is used in the new testament a number of years ago. Hey ... who doesn't like a good mystery?

Anyway ... it lead into areas of study which I would have never dreamed.

I wish for you all the same.

Try this one ... http://www.fetchbook.info/

If that won't find you what you are looking for it doesn't exist.

It is more of a search engine than anything. It has found me some of the very most obscure I have looked for ... including some out of print for over 50 years.

Tych, thanks for the link. Just started reading this book last night and am really enjoying it. Very good stuff, easy to understand. Thanks to all the others ( you know who you are ) that have suggested the read as well.

For those who would like the writings of some of the greatest dispensational authors, past and present, one should order the GRACE LIBRARY (premier Edition) CD. One can see the contents of this CD at http://www.tbsministries.com/tbsin076.htm.

Even thought I have all of Pastor Stams writings, and many more books by several of the authors, I wouldn't part with my CD, as I refer to it often.

For all of its contents, I consider it very reasonably priced.

God Bless.

Fruchtenbaum was a Jew and if anybody does ... he understands the significance of keeping Israel prophetic Scripture separate and distinct from Christian doctrine.

He actually studied under Chafer at Dallas.

His ministry is focused on bringing the light to the Jews ... and because of his knowledge of Hebrew he is definitely on my favourites list.

His book THE MESSIANIC JEWISH EPISTLES: Ariel's Bible Commentary on Hebrews, James, I & II Peter, Jude is worth a look too.

I think that CD is the best single addition anyone could possibly add to their library.

Its good to see that someone agrees with me. I forgot to mention that the CD can be obtained from the TBS Ministres at http://www.tbsministries.com/

God Bless.

Oh no... there goes more money for more books  Well from what I have seen it is money well spent. Yet I did run accross one point in the footsteps that seemed a bit shakey, or at least it was so different to me it raises up ??? in my mind.

There are no human author's I have ever come to 100% agreement with ... I find that authors who's topic is prophecy to be a little far out there at times.

But the purpose of a good book is to cause us to think ... to listen with all readiness of mind ... and search the scriptures to see if it is so. "Prayerfully consider" is the term I use ...

And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
(Acts 17:10-11 KJV)

Jerry don't do what I did when I first went through Footsteps ... which was to read it and not read the appendix material. It could be that the appendices are the best part of the book !!!

Thanks for the tip:wave: .

Dr. A's statement regarding finding the meaning of the Symbols was refreshing... I also am encouraged in that he seems to employ a literal hermenunic at least that is my imporeeion so far, yet I am not so sure about the Theocratic kigdom as yet (as he defined it that is). Yet the book seems as if it is going to tie all the endtimes events together, I am going to bounce it off the Spirit and Truth material I am studing as well.
