Staff moderates the board by working reports which come in on posts which have been reported as rule violations. They also read the board and may post mod hats- posts which serve to keep a thread on-track and report any posts they would like the area team to look at. Reports are worked by several members of a team. A consensus of the team must be reached before a post is ruled a violation.
If the post is ruled a violation, members may receive a Counseling PM informing them of the violation, a Warning which informs them of the violation, or an Infraction. Counseling PMs are used for lesser violations, for new members or for members which have no history of staff actions, etc. Warnings serve to inform the member they need to be more careful in their posting, or are used for members who have a few staff actions in their history or for lesser violations, etc.; and infractions are used for members who have a history of staff actions or for more major violations, etc.
If you receive a staff action such as a PM, warning or infraction, you should contact the Admin of the issuing team to discuss the action. If you receive a ban, you may use the Suggestion/Complaint box to begin a thread and talk to the Member Services Team about the staff action. They will decide if the ban was given in error and should be reversed or if it was correct and should remain in place.
If you see a member of staff behaving in a way you find inappropriate for Christian Forums staff, you may begin a thread in the Suggestion/Complaint box and discuss this with the Member Services Team. |
