I was once asked 'what it is to come to know the Love of the Lord,' and I answered. 'It is to be loved wholly and completely without reservation.' To know the Love of the Lord is like nothing any human being can offer. It is satisfaction in knowing that He is taking care of all the details of your existance. It is comfort in being loved regardless of your faults. It is joy in knowing that you have a companion when everyone else forsakes you. Hebrews 13:5-6 "For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

To know and appreciate His kindness and generosity is beyond our limited understanding when compared with what the world has to offer us. Jesus is our true friend and Saviour and for that I am truly and forever grateful.

Does anyone have anything they wish to share or add to this testimony? May God bless you all here and fill you all with the Love of the Lord! The way that only Jesus can..." In Jesus loving and mighty name. Amen.:amen:

Hi - I thought I would share some words that the Holy Spirit gave me, which absolutely supports the WOF movement. This is the first writing of this nature that the Lord has given me...
God bless you as you read these words!

The Power of His Word

Words are like arrows, they can sting like a bee, or they can heal rifts between nations. Jealousy can kill. It is that simple. It has the power to destruct even the most perfect relationship. When jealousy rears its ugly head at times, causing chaos and confusion, the power of the Lord can bring it to its knees.

Truth is a two-edged sword. It cuts through the enemy before your very eyes. When you speak the truth, that is, God’s truth, our Father in Heaven is then able to help you turn things around for the betterment of you and everyone concerned. On the other hand of course, you could leave it all to chance, or simply hope or wish for the best, and maybe things will seem ok for a while, but they will never be transformed to their potential unless you call upon the mighty power of God.

God is there for us. We are His precious children. When we commit to a life serving Him, there is nothing that you cannot achieve through a life of serving Christ. He will bring blessings that you cannot even begin to imagine yourself. This I know is true, because I have lived it.

The treadmill of life has its many pressures and downfalls. Things are not always as they seem. You could be travelling along at 90 mile an hour, no bumps in the road when all of a sudden, disaster strikes. Everything is turned upside down. Life as you know it is suddenly a riot! Just when you think you’ve sorted out one set of problems there appears forty more on the horizon. What is that? That, my friend, is the enemy.

Let me tell you something. The enemy has gained access to your life. Your standard of living has become such that you can no longer feed yourself or your family, you can no longer support them and put a roof over their heads. But there is hope. Jesus is the answer. He is the way, the truth and the life. (Refer John 14:6) He is your two-edged sword in times of trouble.

When disaster strikes, He is the one whom you can trust. He can turn your life around in ways that will astound you. John 11:25 states, “I am the resurrection and the life.” This is a mighty promise from Jesus himself. Speak forth this truth into your troubling situation and watch the Lord’s hand at work. He will make flowers grow in even the most arid soils.

Amidst all the heartache and calamity, there exists a much easier way. Never should we underestimate the power of God at work in our lives. Even the most sincere believer might not come to know and experience the true power of God unless they act according to the word of God. As believers and followers of God, we must surrender our lives to Him always remembering that it is He who lives in us. In this way, things that were once impossible become a reality because man’s impossibilities become God’s possibilities.

When things seem as though everything and everyone is against you, that’s when the Lord does His best work! It is written in Luke 18:27 “What is humanly impossible is possible for God.” It is through our faith in Christ that our Heavenly Father is able to perform miracles for us. It is with His guidance that our lives are turned around and maintained.

We can only submit ourselves to His will for us by giving over every situation to Him to take care of. When we do this, He is then free to act on our behalf correcting our mistakes and dealing with the issues at hand. In order to do this, we must first relinquish all control asking God to solve our problems. Then we must sit back and wait for guidance, and then take appropriate action when we are prompted. You will know when the time is right because the Holy Spirit will prompt you to speak or act in accordance with His guidance.

It takes a great deal of trust at times to do this; however, the rewards are well worth it. What have you got to lose? Try it for yourself. It worked for me – it will work for you too.

All glory for these words goes to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Praise God! Amen.

PS While you wait for the myriad of wonderful blessings to come upon you and your family, consider this - you are among the many people to receive His wonderful promises that are in the Bible and are too numerous to mention here! So get into the word and start searching for yourself all that you are entitled to as a precious child of God. Amen.

Hope you liked it!

God bless

Hello

Thought I'd pop in and just say Hi. I am trying to find my feet so to speak and see where I belong. I love the Lord with all my heart, and I hear His voice. He tells me things that I could not possibly know without His guidance of truth.

I am led by the Holy Spirit to write spiritual literature to help people understand how much God loves them. I sometimes find it hard to relay truth as I am receiving it to people and have met with much opposition from those around me. I simply wish to be a loyal and faithful servant to the Lord and I understand through experience how much one can be despised and oppressed from speaking the truth.

The Lord has led me into some very difficult and controversial situations and I have had to remain firm and stand on what He gives me, both the method and the content, in the tasks to undertake for Him. It is true what they say, that when you ride a bike and fall off, you must get back on before you lose your courage! LOL!

I only wish to communicate the truth as the Lord gives it to me and I ask the Holy Spirit to give me the right words for the person or situation. Does anyone else share this same experience?

God bless you all
Shepherd

PS The Lord's great love is like nothing else I have experienced! His love and companionship fill me to the brim - my cup does runneth over! Lol! I do however think that every soul longs to fit in somewhere, and I am one of them. I hope to find that place soon...:)

Hebrews 10:35-36 "Do not lose your courage, then, because it brings with it a great reward. You need to be patient, in order to do the will of God and receive what he promises." Amen.

Was just posting on the books thread I started and was thinking about how much I love reading and how in the last year God has been working in me so that where I used to read any trashy fiction novel or trashy magazine, I now just have a desire for books which are edifying and build up my faith. It's amazing how God has taken something that is part of my personality and likes and has turned it into something that is really benefitting my spiritual life. I also have a fairly addictive type personality where I can get fairly obsessed with something and that obsession is now directed towards God and His word.

Have you noticed any similar changes in your own life?

Something I was thinking about the other day...

Gravity tries to pull us to the center of the Earth. But what keeps up from falling straight through the ground. Newton's law says that any object at rest (or in motion) will stay at rest (or in motion, respectively) unless some net force acts on it. So, if Gravity is pulling us down and we're not going anywhere, there must be a force pushing us up to keep us from falling through the ground and making the net force equal to zero. Well, there is a force that keeps us above the ground and that is electromagnetism. Electromagnetism holds our molecules together and prevents our subatomic particles from blending in with other things (so our hand doesn't go through the desk and keeps us from walking through walls).

There is also an experiment you could do with two wires. You run a current through both wires going in the same direction. If the current in one is high enough, the magnetic field surrounding the wire will pull the other wire up off the ground (or desk).

Both forces are equally valid but one force will acquiesce to the other. One force will usually come out on top. I got to thinking about this yesterday. Here's what I wrote down. Maybe it was the Holy Spirit? I don't know. I've been writing down all sort of weird things lately... :D

What God opens, no one can close. What God closes no one can open. What God does, no one can undo. When God said, "You are mine." It immediately became established, scientific fact. It became more real than gravity, than the speed of light, the orbits of the planets. And that's why such crazy manifestations are possible. The established (from before time began) fact of our betrothal to Christ supercedes all truth. Cancer isn't truth, Depression isn't truth, bitterness, pride, disease, money problems, etc. None of it is truth. Gravity may even bow down to the truth that is, "I am His and He is mine," and we'll float off the ground! :D

There is a natural order to things. Gravity tries to pull to the center of the Earth. Electromagnetism keeps us from falling right through the ground. Electromagnetism trumps Gravity. But the truth of the Glory trumps everything.

Is. 44:14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.

Is. 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

Is. 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:

Is. 44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

Is. 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

Is. 44:19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

Is. 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

When I read these verses it tells me of a god of man’s creation, God in the likeness of men. Here is a man who planted a tree, it was watered and nourished by the rains until it grew strong… Then the man takes it to burn it and to cook his dinner, so he takes part and lights a fire, he uses part to cook his food and after he is warm and well fed he takes part and fashions it into a god, a god that looks like himself…

He bows down and prays to this god of his own creation… his prayer... deliver me for you are my god… how foolish, why did the tree not deliver itself from being cut down or from the fire? But yet he thinks it will deliver him…

Now we would never do that, cut down a tree and bow down to it and worship it… but sometimes we have a god of our own creation, the god of our own imagination, created to be just like us and sometimes when we cry out to this god for deliverance there is no answer because he is no god at all and cannot deliver us…

As we follow after God let us be sure we are following the God of the bible, that we are not following a god of our own invention but that we are following the true and living God, a God who is mighty to deliver, the God who created not only the trees and the man but all of creation… A God who has revealed himself to man and desires a relationship with us…

He alone is God, let us seek after Him and begin to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth…
