Laryngitis

Posted 1st February 2010 at 12:32 PM by AngelusSax
I hate laryngitis. Especially since I work at a bank and have to talk all flipping day. Arrgh.

That is all. I am frustrated with having very little voice.

New Roof

Posted 26th January 2010 at 12:02 PM by AngelusSax
I learned this weekend that I need a whole new roof on my house, as the old one is peeling away and rotting. The previous roof installers apparently did a poor job. Unfortunately, since I wasn't there (it was my dad living there), I don't know who did it, and he can't remember, so I can't just call them and say "fix your mess!"

Posted 23rd December 2009 at 11:57 AM by AngelusSax
"In our denomination are compassionate Christians. 'Compassionate conservatives' is an oxymoron. The Lord we serve is liberal in every way possible, abounding with peace and justice." -United Methodist Bishop Felton May

The above quote is one that I've been familiar with for a while now. I actually tried to see it as valid. But, something in me just kpet nagging and nagging. The more I look at it, the more it strikes me that this just misses the mark. Oh, I don't think Jesus...

A Savior Came Down

Posted 10th December 2009 at 10:44 AM by AngelusSax
Somewhere in eternity
Which is somewhere after today but before tomorrow
A Father sat with His face in His hands
Anguished in great sorrow

His children had forgotten Him
They never called or attempted to write
But that soon would be changed
One long winter's night

There was one daughter
Upon whom He had shown favor
She had not rejected that
Which she was chosen to labor

And now upon
This chosen...
