God is Not the Author of Pain and Suffering

Something that many people don't understand is that God is not the author of pain and suffering, chaos, confusion and death. He is loving, kind, tender, full of compassion, and full of mercy. His character is shown in that when there was no hope for us, He sent His Son to take our punishment of death for us. He offers us life in a world where there is death, destruction and hopelessness.

Extreme Spiritual Warfare--Forgive Them

All of us have been hurt, many of us several times. Rather than let ourselves be destroyed, we have a choice: we can forgive.

There are at least seven reasons why we need to forgive others when we are hurt:

1) Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forgave us, Colossians 3:13.

2) Jesus Christ instructed us to forgive, Matthew 6:12, 14-15; Luke 6:37.

3) If we don't forgive, we will not be forgiven by our Father in heaven, Matthew 6:14-15; Luke 6:37....

Graciousness helps tremendously.

I was afraid of someone in my family who always tore me down. She was coming to visit me, and I was petrified. I cleaned my home meticulously, but I knew even this would not help. I dropped into bed in exhaustion, but prayed first, asking for help. As I woke the Lord spoke to me. He reminded me of Proverbs 11:16, where is says that a gracious woman retains honor. How to Overcome Depression

When I was very ill with PTSD I had thoughts about wanting to die every day for months. I am so glad I didn't. It would have been the stupidest thing I had ever done. I would have devastated my husband and children, and for what? They needed me, I would have hurt them deeply, I wonder if they would ever have stopped mourning.

Whatever you do, don't be that stupid. Depression LIES. It makes you believe that no one cares about you, and that there is no way out.
