Cool Verse for the Day
This verse came to mind when I was looking for another verse. I kind of had it jumbled with the other one. Anyway, I think it's so cool.

Isaiah 26:3
3 You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in you.

Isn't perfect peace what we all want? And here we find out that all we have to do to have perfect peace is steadfastly trust in the Lord. Why is that so hard to do? I'm really bad about...

I guess I don't get it.
I don't understand why there's all this brouhaha about Wal-Mart and Target telling their employess to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". I've done a lot of holiday shopping at both of those places for many years, and I can't recall any employees ever telling me Merry Christmas OR Happy Holidays. Heck, I'm lucky if they even tell me what my total is when I go to the checkout.

What kind of peppy employees are other people...

On Dogs and Kennels
I really hate it when I have to board my dogs, but they aren't exactly low maintenance, so it's necessary sometimes.

I'm pretty particular about where I'll take them. Their vet's office offers boarding, but they have a few fairly nice runs (indoor/outdoor, heated/cooled) and a few that are half the size of those and only indoor. It would be OK if they could guarantee me a big one, but they won't do that. They do it on first come, first served and you pay...

My cousin and I were talking about this the other day and I thought it was interesting, so here I am revisiting it and trying to put it together in a way that makes sense.
