My 17 year old son has been driving for 1 year. He is a church youth group leader for 7th grade boys (there is an adult leader as well). He wants to be able to take his 7th grade small group boys places in his car - the movies, the beach, etc. His step-dad and I will not allow him to drive his small group boys. We do allow him to have 2 passengers in the car with him when he drives, but this has been mainly limited to kids of at least high school age. It is a serious responsibility of safety that any of us take on when we drive others around. He is questioning our decision.

I would like to hear your candid thoughts/comments as to whether or not you would allow a child of yours to drive in this situation or not and why. Thanks
