Continuing On

Well, it has been awhile hasn't it

I always intend to write down what is going on in my life but it just never seems to happen.

I'm still eating raw but I have not been doing it as much as I had been. Mostly I've just gotten lazy. While it's the easiest food plan I've ever been on it does take preparation. And I'd just gotten lazy but I'm working my way back into it. I have not gained any weight back and so far am maintaining at a loss of 28 pounds so far.

Cheese

Cheese has been one of the things that I have craved since going raw. However, being a raw foodest means no meat and/or meat by products. Although, on occasion I will partake.

Well, this last Sunday I took a crew up to Kansas City so I was able to stop in Overland Park, at the Whole Foods Market (a large organic market) on my way home. Broccoli Soup

My favorite recipe so far in the raw arena is:

Broccoli Soup

Blend:
3 cups water
1 cup cashews soaked overnight
1 Tsp honey or 2 halawi dates
Add:
2 cups chopped broccoli (I use my mini chopper)
1 avocado
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tsp onion
1 to 1 1/2 Tsp sea salt
1/2 Tsp cumin
18 Tsp black pepper

Blend until creamy. If desired
top with hemp seeds, nutritional
yeast,

Eating

Well, it's only been a month now but I'm quickly becoming a raw food advocate

The first raw meal I had was in the evening. I started attending a class at a friends house where she taught about eating raw. Right in front of us she created these wonderful dishes with raw food using just a blender. There were 5 of us in the class when it started and each of us felt the food was quite tasty. Well, I had stopped blogging here because the site was going through so many changes and I was thinking I was just going to lose it all so I started blogging elsewere. I have not done much there though, and I see CF seems to be pretty stable again, so I guess I will start blogging here again.
