A Tree by the Waters (I hope!)

Well, I did follow up with my teasing revenge plan I mentioned in yesterday's post, and it was a big success. I made up a lot of stories supposedly from years ago in which I claimed he had wasted envelopes, things like that. I got a lot of laughs from hubby and we teased each other all day.

Besides that, he liked the way I fixed the sauerkraut, and remarked on how very few calories there are in a jar of it.

This morning I told hubby I wanted to pick up a big jar of sauerkraut today. We’ve got those Polish sausages we need to use up. Eating oatmeal with almonds. White Collar marathon on TV. I love it that my favorite shows are coming back this summer.

My title says it all. I'm in my room, with my hair wet, and a cup of coffee to hand. The coffee is watered down, because husband make it a bit strong, and because we are going out at 10:30 to one of our favorite coffee haunts. Certain things hit me like a knife in the heart. That may sound overly dramatized, but that is how certain political news hits me.

We don't want other people who have different political beliefs to know this. We don't want them to know how much a political disappointment really hurts.

I read equivocation, denial, huffing and puffing, joking, research, talking points, points of view put forward by the political writers on my favorite blogs (I'm ignoring these temporarily)....
