What Is A Small Group?

A small group is a small community. The reason it's described as "small" is not because it is insignificant. It's described in this manner to emphasize to the group members that's it's not an isolated community. It is only "small" in the context of the larger community it belongs to: the body of Christ. It is also referred to as "small" for the benefit of those in the "crowd" of the community. It's important for the "crowd" to know there is benefit in participating in activities on a smaller scale.
A small group is made up of 6-15 people. Sometimes there are more, sometimes there are less, but 6-15 is a good goal. The mission of a small group is to grow in relationship, discipleship, and leadership.
