In my blog, I wish to bring reflections concerning the Cross which Christians are called to take up into their lives, as well as the Narrow Path in which all are to walk on in order to receive life eternal.
I will also journal my thoughts and bring reflections on other subjects.

The Sufferings of Christ Which Overflow into Our Lives
Lately, I've been in great pain. When I'm in pain, I don't know what I'm saying. I can't think clearly and I can't see clearly either. In those times I can go overboard with my emotions. May the Lord help me win the victory so that, finally, even through trials and adversity, I may be like Him!
2 Corinthians 1:3-6:
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.

| | "For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives..." (2 Corinthians 1:5a) This part of the verse really struck me... It's normal to suffer as a Christian... yes, because Christ's sufferings flow over into our lives... This is like an automatic phenomena. It just happens. If someone who calls him or herself a Christian never suffers, are they really God's children? (and I don't mean to be offensive here). See next comment. |

| | 1 Peter 4:12-13 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. It's not strange if sufferings come in the life of a Christian. It's normal! To participate in the sufferings of Christ is a privilege, an honour... |
