Here is your example:
Yes, homosexual behavior is worse than divorce between a man and a woman. I'm not saying that God loves divorce. He hates it. But at one time God tolerated it. However, God never allowed for homosexual behavior. In fact, He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of that sin. The fact that Jesus doesn't specifically mention homosexuality doesn't matter since He specifically said He wills that marriage be one man and one woman. Therefore, homosexual behavior goes against His will. For New Testament condemnation of homosexual behavior read Romans chapter 1. By the way, Jesus didn't call divorce adultery but remarriage after a divorce.
Quote:
Really, homosexuality is worse than divorce? Two people of the same-sex falling in love with each other is worse than a married couple falling out of love with each other, breaking up families, leaving children in limbo, often stuck in years of custody battles and seeing their parents relentlessly fight with each other?
You cite the Old Testament permitting divorce, yet I recall Jesus Christ explicitly rebuking what was permitted under Moses, and condemning divorce as adultery.
At the same time, in none of the four Gospels does Christ ever mention homosexuality, which would be a rather bizarre omission if it is the uniquely horrible sin that you present it as.
