Everyone who knows me at all, knows my pre-occupation with prison camps. Particularly those of WW1 and WW2. I am also concerned with Christians being persecuted and put in prison today.....as this stuff STILL goes on.

My Great-grandfather was taken POW in WW1. I don't know a whole lot about this, I am doing research. From what I understand, he was in Stargard. His name is Harvey Phipps.

My great-uncle, Harvey Phipps, Jr., was taken POW in WW2. His plane went down...

My three year old, Naomi, is so funny. She is starting to be so independent. I have a hard time getting her to let me assist in anything these days. I have to make her let me rebrush her teeth...to make sure they are clean. Now, she can open the fridge. She HAS to get the milk out and take the lid off before I pour it...and she HAS to put the lid back on it and put it away, and close the door. Today, it took me a good few minutes to explain why she could not take a brand new gallon out by herself....

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE cats. All cats, any kind of cat. They are all beautiful to me. I also seem to bring the good out in them. Someone I know, gave me a feral barn cat just a year ago...he was really wild...not any more! He's my big baby. I also have a stray that comes here every day and just chills on my front porch. In the evenings, when I am winding down to go to bed, I go outside and spend time with them...and look at the stars (we have a great view out here in the boonies).

The past few days have been emotionally rough. I'm OK though. "I'm OK" -Huge statement for me, sometimes. I could not say that 5 years ago. -Or for 15+ years before that.

Temptations for me hit at an early age. It all started for me with codeine. Sneaking the cough syrup my mom thought she had put away safely. Then at 13, I started smoking pot....then it all went down here from there. I've done everything short of sticking a needle in my arm....never did that.
