When the light shines upon
The old wound within the soul
It seems like more pain adding on
And striving to feel whole
The wound has a cover
So that it can heal
Uncovering it feels like a puncture
With so much pain to feel
But the pain doesn’t last
Just like a band-aid
Let it all out; get out of that cast
And the sadness will fade
