So, what nice things might an atheist say about religion? Well, feel free to let me know if the sentiment behind the following is "nice:. I posted this on another site to get a debate going among my fellow atheists:

I often find myself hesitant to go as far as some so-called "militant" atheists in being outright opposed to religion as a whole. I'm not afraid to admit that religion isn't all bad, or it wouldn't be so widespread in the various cultures of the planet....

During your online ventures, you may notice that many of the atheists are very outspoken. Gnostic atheists tend to proudly show their opinion that the world would be far better off without any religion.

While this remains to be proven or studied, let me go on the record as saying my views aren't quite as extreme -- although, I would like to point out that the extent of this so-called "atheist extremism" is only a matter of strong opinion and not acts of terrorism or violence...
