Roses are often seen as the most beautiful smelling, and most beautiful flower. We live in a world drenched in Sin. There is a most disgusting stench that Sin and people with it leave behind. Us Christians, or even those of us who have faith in God are the Roses desperately trying to overpower the stench of Sin.
My current transitioning pastor talked about Vultures and Hummingbirds. Vultures represent people in today's world that are living in the past, for Vultures only eat what is dead. Whereas Hummingbirds represent the people who choose to live in the moment, to stop by and smell the flowers.
Life is to short. A lot of us choose to live in the past instead of focusing on the 'now' or we are so wrapped up in the holiday season or shopping or work that we don't realize that we are forgetting our loved ones. Our loved ones are the people who truly matter here on earth. like it says in James, if we see someone who has needs and do not help them, than we cannot say we truly love him. So remember the people around you and do things that are unexpected of you. For example, go give your mom/dad/sibling a hug/kiss or do the laundry or some chore without being asked.I hate hypocrites, so as I'm saying that, I promise I will try very hard in order to do what I asked you to do. please consider my words, and thank you for reading.
