Christmas time can be a very stressful for some people. There seems to be so much pressure when it comes to gift giving. Why? It could be the culture we live in and feel we must give just the right gifts.

Did God get stressed out when He gave us Jesus? No. Then why should we when we give this Christmas season. If your motive for giving is love, then no matter what you choose to share with others, it will be given with a right heart.

I remember when my family drew names each year during the Holidays. This one particular year I got my sister in law, Sharon's name drawn. Instead of going out to the stores and weaving through the crowds, I decided to do something a little different.

After Sharon received her gift on Christmas Eve, she cried. Why? It was something that came from my heart and it touched her in a way that she wasn't expecting. What was it?

I simply wrote her a personal Christmas letter and told her how much I appreciated her and what I admired about her as my sister in law. Sometimes you just don't know how words can make a difference in someone's life until you share them.
