LET ME LEARN FROM THE EAGLES


Lord I can learn so much from eagles,
And I want to learn to soar like an eagle,
As eagles learn from imitating parents,
May I now learn from imitating Christ.

Lord give me eagle vision to gaze upon the Son,
For eagles can see clearly and gaze at the sun,
Eagles are hunters diligently searching for their prey,
Let me be one who constantly seeks your face I pray.

As baby eagles imitate their parents by copying their behaviour,
May I in turn fully imitate my dear Lord and Saviour,
Eagles mount up with their wings fully outstretched,
I want to rise up with wings of faith and be God directed.

As eagles build their nests on a firm foundation upon rocks,
And I will build my house fully grounded on Christ the rock,
Eagles tails are to give them increased stability,
And I know Lord that you have desire for me to have stability.

Eagles use their tails like brakes when landing,
And Lord you ask me to wait upon you for timing.
Lord may I now soar with the eagles,
And may I with Christ now dwell in those heavenly places.
