Prophecies of The Bible, Proof that the Bible is Genuine!
Posted 7th July 2009 at 02:25 AM by heavenrox
There are many prophecies in the Bible. In fact there are just about 10,000. For people who dislike my view on the Bible (how it’s not true), I hope you may see my point on how the Bible is true. Christ is so close to coming back. We are living close to the last generation before Christ comes again. Some of the prophecies that were said to happen near the end have come true.
1. The Jewish people would be scattered worldwide; yet Israel would become a nation again.
“The people of Israel will be abandoned to their enemies until the time when the woman in labor gives birth to her son. Then at last his fellow countrymen will return from exile to their own land.” Micah 5:3
Well on May 14, 1948, this very thing happened. Israel declared independence.
2. Israel shall be brought forth in one day, at once.
“Who has ever seen or heard of anything as strange as this? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, the baby will be born; the nation will come forth. “Would I ever bring this nation to the point of birth and then not deliver it?” asks the Lord. “No! I would never keep this nation from being born,” says your God.” Isaiah 66:8-9
This, too, also happened on May 14, 1948. It was during the meeting of the People’s Council that took place in Israel that would decide on the name of the state and to finalize the declaration. Members of the People’s Council signed the proclamation. David Ben-Gurion rapped his gavel, declaring, “The State of Israel is established. This meeting is ended.” Israel was brought forth as a nation in one day, at once. It happened exactly as predicted. At midnight, the British soldiers and high commissioner would leave. President Truman was swift in announcing U.S. recognition of Israel. The following morning, on May 15, Israel was under armed attack by the Egyptians, Syrians, Lebanese, Jordanians, and Iraqis.
3. The rebirth of Israel would happen after many days. It would occur a long time in the future after the prophecy was made and at the time the Bible calls the latter days.
“A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will scoop down on the land of Israel, which will be lying in peace after her recovery from war and after the return of her people from many lands. You and all your allies will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud.” Ezekiel 38:8-9
4. Israel would be brought forth (or reborn) “out of the nations.”
Read back to Ezekiel 8. On Nov. 29, 1947, the General Assembly of the “United Nations” approved a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. This prophecy was perfectly fulfilled. Consider, for centuries the land of Israel had been occupied by many nations. Israel was “brought forth out of the nations”—the children of Israel from many nations were returning to their ancient homeland.
5. Israel must regain the city of Jerusalem.
“And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. There will be a people on Mount Zion in Jerusalem who escape, just as the Lord said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called.” Joel 2:32
This happened in 1967. There was a war called The Six-Day War. Israel captured East Jerusalem.
6. The Christian church at the time of the end would be lukewarm, neither cold nor hot for Jesus.
Most churches preach very little Scripture, but lots of worldly stories. Many sing a great deal, but put very little emphasis on repentance, obeying, serving, and fearing God, the fruits of the Spirit, Bible prophecy, water baptism by immersion, and studying your Bible faithfully every day. Many are only entertainment centers that teach what their members want to hear. People will not endure sound doctrine-2 Tim 4:3. They turn away from the truth-2 Tim 4:4. Many church members are so lukewarm or dead, they don’t even bring their Bibles with them to the house of God. Many ministers think this is the best church age ever, yet the Bible clearly shows it is the worst and most deceived.
7. Now these are descriptions of people of the time of the end:
A. Some would depart from the faith and go into devil worship.
“Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from what they believe; they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons.” 1 Timothy 4:1
In Great Britain, there are reported 35,000 witches (Profession)
B. People would have no conscience.
“Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.” 1 Timothy 4:2-3
C. People would mock about the last days and not believe.
“First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say ‘Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.’ ” 2 Peter 3:3-4
I think this one is self-explanatory.
D. People would become lovers of themselves.
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” 2 Timothy 3:1-4
Self-explanatory again.
E. People would be disobeying their parents.
Read the verse I typed in D.
F. People would be grateful for nothing.
Refer back to what I said in E.
G. Homosexuality would increase.
“So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved.” Romans 1:24-27
H. People would be without self-control in sex.
“And don’t forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled sexual immorality and every kind or sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and are a warning of the eternal fire that will punish all who are evil.” Jude 1:7
I. People would be untrustworthy, friends would betray friends.
Refer back to F.
J. People would love pleasures more than God.
Refer back to I.
Well umm, think about it. Do you love to come to church? Why? Why not sleep in? Or do homework. Guess who made homework? Guess who made the very lovable teacher who gave you homework? Think about this next time Wednesday or Sunday comes strolling down the sidewalk.
K. People would be taking drugs.
“And they did not repent of their murders or their witchcraft or their immorality or their thefts.” Revelation 9:21
Now before you comment, “What? This says nothing about drugs!!” There is a Greek word which is sorceries. Sorcery? Hmm, that seems like something you would see in a Harry Potter movie. (Which some people think is actually based off of a true story… not going into it) The Greek word sorcery means pharmaceuticals. Let’s take a word out of there. Pharma.. That sort of sounds like the word Pharmacy. Where you would find drugs.
8. There would be weapons that could destroy the world.
“And the Lord will send a plague on all of the nations that fought against Jerusalem. Their people will become like walking corpses, their flesh rotting away. Their eyes will shrivel in their sockets, and their tongues will decay in their mouths.” Zechariah 14:12
Don’t you just love them nuclear bombs? I sure don’t. But if one of them went off, I wouldn’t be complaining afterwards.
9. There would be an increase in earthquakes.
“There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and epidemics in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs in the heavens.” -Jesus in Luke 21:11
In this last generation, research from the U.S. Geological Survey, National Earthquake Information Center reveals that major earthquakes of a magnitude of 6.0 or higher have remained relatively constant during this century. However, the total number of earthquakes in recent years appear to be rising. For example, it was reported that in 1986, the total number of earthquakes was 12,718. In l990, it was 16,612. In 1994, it was 19,371. This will culminate during the Battle of Armageddon, after the tribulation of those days. At that time, there will be an earthquake that will shake the world. The cities of the nations will fall. Every island will flee away.
10. At the time of the end, there would be famines in various places.
Read Luke 21:11 again. It has been estimated that 60,000,000 people a year die from starvation around the world.
11. The Gospel must be published in all the world.
“And the Gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.”
–Mark 13:10
In this generation the Gospel is being published (or about to be published) in the primary language of every nation of the world or “among all nations.” When this prophecy was made, man, that seemed pretty impossible due to printing presses being overused because Gossip magazine was extremely popular back then.. (for those of you going, HUH?, it’s a joke, there were no printing presses back in the Good days). But the Word is getting spread all across the world, pretty amazing.
12. In the Latter days when Israel was once again a nation, there will be a great military power to the extreme North of Israel in the land of Magog (Present-day Russia).
“After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and it gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.” –Ezekiel 38:8
So, umm, about the Bible not being true.. Does this mean that there ARE such things as coincidences? You’ve got to be kidding me.. You can still try and fight how the Bible isn’t true, yet I believe it to be. I mean, how can they have seen something like this in the future and for it to be true? It’s impossible, without the help of God.
There are a lot more prophecies than the ones I have talked about on this note. I was looking at random websites when I stumbled upon these. I do believe that the Bible still holds true and will remain to hold true. You can insult me, hurt me, or gossip about me, it’s not going to change my beliefs. I’m sticking with it until the End (which is pretty close actually), and even after that, I’m going to be singing to Jesus along with billions of others. “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him I shall confess also before my Father which is in Heaven.” –Matthew 10:32
Some people think that me simply saying “God loves you.” Is forcing religion down another’s throat.. I don’t understand that, but if someone asks me about Christ, I’m going to talk to them about it, not caring what other people think. If you ask me about dinosaurs, how old the earth is, Noah’s Ark: Proof, I’m going to share my views on it. Yes I know this was a long note, but I thought I should post this. Thanks for reading this. I look forward to maybe talking with you sometime. Just hook me up with a text or a facebook message.
