Posted 17th April 2011 at 03:18 PM by judechild
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit

First of all, there's a new group on CF: Friends of Pope Benedict. Come and join if you are a person who supports the Pope's work in spreading the Gospel, and his work in the world.

Recently, I read Pope Benedict's latest book - Jesus of Nazareth, Holy Week. It is a wonderful book which I highly recommend to all Christians. In this book, the...

ACF V: Scandal and the Papa

Posted 28th March 2010 at 06:44 PM by judechild
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: !

I write today on a more somber note than before. I'm sure most are aware of the terrible scandal that has plagued the Catholic Church. This evil has occured, and has damaged the lives of many innocent children of God; my prayers are with them everyday. A Child's Faith II: Art and Abba

Posted 1st August 2009 at 01:57 PM by judechild
Hello again Kyreree! Let's begin as before; in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

I've read some posts on this forum that are written by some very good and holy people who scoff at the idea of having religious art; some even going so far as to say that the elaborate cathedrals of the Middle Ages somehow took away from the Word of God as a whole. Others cite the first commandment: "You shall not carve idols for yourselves in the shape of anything...
