Women as Pastors

The answer is no.

Scripture clearly defines the matter of who can hold church offices: godly men: 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, 1 Corinthians 14:34, and 1 Timothy 2:12.

There is no support in Scripture for female church officers. Yes, in 1 Timothy 3:11, in the middle of teaching on church officers, Paul writes about certain women (gunaikas). And, yes, in Romans 16:1-2, Phoebe is called a deaconess or helper.

Neither of these passages give any warrant for ordaining...

Bible Translations and Tradition

I prefer the Byzantine manuscript tradition for my New Testament Bible translations, e.g., KJV or NKJV.

I use the two Englishman's Greek and Hebrew concordance volumes often when working with the Hebrew and the Greek. I often work directly with the The Greek New Testament for Beginning Readers: The Byzantine Greek Text & Verb Parsing and The New Testament in the Original Greek (Greek Edition).

Just in case anyone is wondering, I am not a KJBOnlyist. In fact, I readily...

When Should We Change the Church We Attend?

People leave churches for many wrong reasons:
- never attempting to make the church better (Prov. 6:19 NIV)
- dissatisfaction with style of worship, music, teaching methods, preaching style
- self-conflict from lack of spiritual growth (James 1:3-4)
- hurt feelings (contra to Psalm 119:165 KJV)
- trivial criticisms
- personal discontent
- transferred personal frustrations

As the list above hints, the rise of "consumerism and narcissism"...
