I am still shocked at the death of my friend, John Gugie. He passed away November 2, 2011, 10 days before his 36th birthday. He had Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy and was in bad shape. However, the death was still a surprise to all close to him as it came without warning during a procedure in the hospital. He was one of my closest friends and my second longest friendship. I had told him things I've told no one else and he was ALWAYS there, with patience and no conditions, to listen to me about anything....

Ended up having a great Thanksgiving myself. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have my son with me. It was his turn to spend with his father this year.

My dad came home for the holidays so it was a nice treat to see him. I got the day off from work which was a pleasant surprise. Spent the day cooking with my mom, which was some fun bonding. Love the Lord Studies - A useful tool for self-study regarding the bible, much work put into it, simple website layout and quick loading.

Different sections with the author's notes, and then each "lesson" lists several questions for self-quizzing and self-essaying. The lessons are by books of the bible.
