Was riding in the car after picking my eight year old son up from his father's and we started talking about God. He told me that God messed up and sometimes when he makes people He puts the belief of Him in their heart but some people He doesn't. I did tell Him God doesn't mess up, that it's the people, but thought it was sweet. He also mentioned God putting belief about Santa Claus into people's hearts...

When he was asking if God gave people powers I told him about some of the biblical gifts. And I also told Him He gave us the ability to make people. He said that only women can make babies and they have 100% of the power and men don't have power with making people. Well, I didn't feel like going into THAT conversation, so for now we'll let that one ride.

He also brought up the cross on churches and wonders if it makes God sad to see crosses since Jesus died on them, and if it makes Him feel bad. He also says he can kind of remember what God looks like and He wore a necklace.

Either way it was a fun car ride From the mouths of children....
