By grace; The Father’s Truth is mine
No longer am I blind
I’ve cast aside the devil’s wine
And felt its coils unwind

I’ve left behind my shameful past
I’m scaling hallowed ground
Now free of that which held me fast
Each chain that had me bound

With angels either side of me
The eyes of God above
The One inside who keeps me free
I’m wrapped in Jesus’ love

What should I dread what should I fear?
What harm can yet be done
With The Holy Ghost more than near
From whom need I to run?

The burden of my Master’s light
His yoke I love to bear
Through these; all foes are put to flight
What need have I to care?

My trust is in The Rock of old
My faith’s grown firm and true
Obeying all my Saviour told
What else have I to do?

God took from me my heart of stone
He filled my soul with grace
It’s good to know before God’s throne
I’ll see His smiling face

Until that day I’m climbing still
The devil’s dye is tossed
I’m holding fast to Heaven’s will
