Attracted by hunger of gold!
The source of glittering light
The world the truth should now be told
That she’ll regain her sight
But this is where the troubles start!
Believing all is well
Deceived through darkness in her heart
Whilst on the road to hell
What can I do for those astray?
What words should has one speak?
How can I show this world The Way?
Whilst still myself am weak?
So God can graft more in The Vine
Without demonic weed
I need serve Salvation’s Wine
I need plant good seed
I must recall my life of shame
Whilst treading sinful ground
Before The Saviour bore my blame
Before true grace was found
What would I say what would I do?
If I myself; would save!
If I should lead to birth anew
To spare from hell and grave
I first must take a look inside
Myself; I need to see
Is Jesus’ gospel mine to hide?
Is this; why now I’m free?
I need to rise let Jesus shine
Life’s work in love begin
The world must know Christ’s grace is mine

 | I enjoyed your poem and like that you show humbleness of a servant searching for the way to glorify our Savior: Jesus/Yahushua. Who are we that our words could make the difference in the life of a lost soul? I think we are correct in feeling this because it is the Holy Spirit that opens peoples hearts and uses us when needed to speak. Sometimes we are to be silent as the Holy Spirit works through us. We simple need to be 'willing' and available to the will of the Most High, Yahweh. I think you covered this in your poem. |
