Feeling alive inside

Feeling perplexed highly adored
Losing the track of time
Knowing The Groom is Christ The Lord
Makes it much more sublime

You’re never bad you’re never mean
You’d never hurt a fly
And though you’re nice and awfully clean
You’re still afraid to die

You know of course it wouldn’t count
Nothing you may have done
Could help ascend God’s holy mount
Without His Christ and Son

So why do you live this way without?
Why do you play the fool?
Why do you try walk with doubt
Living by worldly rule

Did you ever visit I Don’t Care?
And seen his sallow frown?
Did you see his shoes his clothes his hair
His broken teeth so brown

That residence is like a tomb
Each room is like a shed
Did you ever see so much gloom?
Round someone not yet dead

His mansion though I’d like to live
And born a millionaire!
Yet ever see his hand to give?
From all he’s had to share

How can he live how does he sleep

Cheating’s become the norm
The world we know seems not to care
Carousing in the storm

So people fear to walk the street
Since guns appear to rule
Even neighbours will seldom greet
Frightened to seem a fool

Now rape is practiced day and night
Buggery’s seen as odd
Suicide’s reached an unknown height
While few give thought of God

Gambling drinking junkies with knives
