Lord break the bonds of darkness please
Bestow Your servant sight
Hear my prayer on bended knees
To flood my soul with Light

Too long I’ve lived this life below
Walking the ways of hell
Far deeper than I care to go
Amidst its rotting smell

I ate the filth the devil gave
I drank his putrid wine
Sinking still deeper in the grave
Through no one’s fault but mine!

But now my God you’ve shown love’s grace...

It's nice to see an altar call
To hear its wondrous sound
Yet tender plants can fail and fall
Because of unknown ground

How swift they come then swift depart
Leaving a bothered bride
Through lack of knowledge in one's heart
True faith can be denied

It's not enough to hear of Christ
Or hear The Lord can save
But know why He was sacrificed
And rose from death and grave

We need The Truth to first embrace...

We hear in church "The Truth is mine"
"My home's with God above"
But who has Light and fails to shine Isa.60:1
Wastes our Father's love

Perhaps such words sound harsh or cruel
Judgemental or absurd
But wisdom sees it as a rule
Through Heaven's guiding word Mt.5:14

Salvation's not a trend or quirk
A harbour meant for rest
For light to shine, it first...

When truly we believe
Life's precious jewels life's golden crown
We inwardly receive

Invisible to heathen eyes
To untrained souls unknown
Exposed through He alone who's wise
Sitting on Heaven's throne

In Christ one's just rewards are found
In Christ on earth we're blessed
Yet countless hide on hallowed ground
Until our day of rest
