Beware Of Tradition

Some traditions are hard to fight
Men lean on what they find
Too oft a child can’t see the light
Where blind still lead the blind

A church may seem to be alive
Unknown to them their sin
God’s child within can’t learn to thrive
Tradition’s binds them in

Women without a hat in there
May find to speak no place
Yet Christ may use her anywhere!
If when she’s sought His face

Tradition oft has Paul in view...

It’s Hard For The Rich

The “Rich” can mean so many things
The obvious apart
What beauty, wisdom and knowledge brings
Can ruin a foolish heart

Some rich may think they have no need
They have it all on earth
But do they have God’s Holy Seed
The way to second birth

More precious than the finest gold
As rich as man may be
He cannot buy what isn’t sold
For Jesus’ Dove comes free!

To be of wealth, is not a shame
Yet fortune’s...

Don’t Give Up

The man of God sat on his own
He prayed beneath a tree
“Oh Lord my God, I’m all alone
There’s no-one left but me”

God heard and felt His servant’s pain
In answer to his cry
Said, “Seven thousand yet remain
You have no need to die

Now hear these words I speak to you
Return the way you came
I have some work that you can do
To glorify my name”

“Just like a bird within a cage
This room is all I see
Yet when I turn my bible’s page
In Christ I’m truly free

When no one comes to take me out
Although I’m here for days

I feel my Lord’s embrace

I’m Free! Thank God I’m Free

The devil’s chains, once had me bound
Within my loathsome jail
Until the day God’s truth I found
And Jesus; paid my bail

This slave was free! No-more alone
Still God; I failed to see
The One who bought me as His own
Wherever could He be?

I know my Saviour lives within
I know because I feel
I know because I’m cleansed of sin
And have Salvation’s Seal
