As less on earth seek truth above
As fewer people care
So rare becomes fragrance of love
While sin pollutes the air

Lust for silver for gold for jewels
For neighbour’s wares and wives
Willing to serve as Satan’s tools
Cursing and ruining lives

Yet who has faith enough to hear?
Who’s wise enough to see?
Knowledge enough God to fear
To live by Royal decree

How will Jesus greet His bride?

From sin from shame we must repent
Show love to all we meet
Destroying walls of discontent
Washing our neighbour’s feet

For this; we first must close the door
To where we once were lost
Locking, bolting forever more
Regardless of the cost

Barring the doors to doubt and fear
Binding the devil’s hand
Enables hope to reappear
Faithful again to stand

Obliging walking extra miles
Helping at Jesus feet

They pay their tithes each worldly due
Walk with countenance fair
Seldom failing from work or pew
Like Christians everywhere

Hearing of God of Christ His Son
Fearing hell’s report
They hope to see life’s victory won
Without more falling short
