We lie, we steal we cheat we kill
Deceive how, where we can
Gratifying the devil’s will
Against our fellow man

Weren’t we ourselves once lost and blind?
Weren’t each the devil’s slave?
Till grace began to change our mind
Saving from hell and grave

Faithful we take of bread and wine
Saved through our Saviour’s blood
Joining our hands with love divine
To walk the way we should

Are we to see...

My Lord my God I wish to see
To know Your will and Way
To live to serve even to flee
The wrath of judgement day

Open to truth, my wayward mind
My heart to selfless love
But Satan’s ways Lord make me blind
That I may rise above

The world at large revolves with doubt
In multicoloured shrouds
But hear my cry heed my shout
Amidst the maddening crowds

Lord help; my selfishness to die

Through life my God I’ve walked as dead
Miserable, lost and blind
Till from the dust You raised my head
And changed my selfish mind

Now I respond to who You are
Respond to things You’ve done
Even to Heaven’s door ajar
Through Christ Your living Son

I now respond to Heaven’s cry
To grace through Jesus’ love
Through whom beyond where eagles fly
I’ll journey with Your Dove

Not all will see The Father’s face
Nor dwell The Promised Land
But those in Christ living by grace
As Heaven always planned

Not all will flee the coming wrath
Escape the pit of hell
But those walking God’s chosen path
Who’ve drank from Heaven’s Well

Be filled from life’s eternal Spring
Be vessels pure as gold
Be dogs for Christ who’ll safely bring
God’s sheep into the fold

Not every cup will Heaven...
