The world we know is far from free
Her children live in fear
We’ve lost The Truth and fail to see
The reason why we’re here

We’re running wild, we’re chasing there
Searching both night and day
Whilst God has Heaven’s wealth to share
With those who Christ obey

But who can see the facts displayed?
Who’ll heed The Master’s voice?
How can a child be so dismayed?
God fails to be their choice

We seek it here we seek it there
Seeking its warmth and glow
Through Christ it should be everywhere
Yet still few people know

It heals the sick imprisons fear
Sets heart and soul aflame
Upon the cross we see it clear
When Christ removes our shame

A flowing stream of joy and peace
A treasure faithful sought
A wondrous gift, souls to release
To deeds of noble thought

Too oft is heard that hell is here!
Hell’s torment’s here in life
That in the grave we’ve nought to fear
As death’s the death of strife

True torment though, begins in hell!
The bible’s clear to say
Once there; the facts will surely tell
To life; Christ was The Way

Too late of course will be the cry
Too late to seek God’s grace
Discovering souls can never die
When endless pain we face

Of sin of shame, of evil seen
From filth that leads to hell
We pray Jesus would make us clean
To live and serve Him well

We frequent church we offer praise
we pray on bended knees
On Heaven’s shore we seek to gaze
Still God we fail to please

We brag God’s Spirit’s in our heart
Sing hymns with smiling face
Yet with hell’s tongue we’ll tear apart
Another saved by grace

How foolish is the wayward mind
living the devil’s lie
To Heaven’s Truth totally blind
Condemned and bound to die

To love to seek to love again
Is Jesus’ royal command
with vicious tongues we serve in vain
as exiles from God’s Land

Best turn our eyes to God above
Pray Jesus gives release
Seek out The Father’s perfect love
and cause hell’s tongue to cease

Who’d seek for life’s eternal crown...
