Drop off those skins now cracked and dry
Adorn my Liquid Light
Let God restore what none can buy
What ‘s soon to be in sight

The Cana feast was good and fine
But that was in the past
Now drink my child Salvation’s wine
Your God has saved till last

Within new skins it can but thrive

Distractions that from God would turn
Would rob us of His peace
Must be to all of grave concern
And made at once to cease

These are the weeds, the thorns and stones –Lk.8:5-15
That hinders holy lives
They crush the spirit break the bones
And kill like deadly knives

We’ve all had weeds from time to time
And some may yet remain
They make us turn to lives of crime
Or search for worldly gain
