Although it's not really obvious, this set does have a vague sci-fi basis to it. It's not been noticable because I haven't done any weapons, etc. yet. The reason for this is because if I used real weapons, there'd be a REALLY unfortunate implications. If it's a lightsaber or blaster targeting a real human, it comes off less tasteless than a glock or shotgun.

Both sides will often have cards with the same effect, but with different names/flavor text. I was working on more Patriot characters, but changes in the forum rules for sigs prompted a re-arrangement of my release order.

Why did I pick the name Patriot for the light side? Because I did not want to be too exclusive with the term. It's not simply Conservative vs. Liberal, but those who put the individual over the state vs. those who put the state over the individual. In other words, these aren't the caricature of a patriot we often see, with the "my country, right or wrong" mentality. Standing up against your government when they are wrong is one of the most patriotic things you can do.

But they're not meant to be. When I was trying to discuss this terrible fact, and that hundreds of innocents (over 200 of which were children), I was told to make some cards about it. Well, here they are. It's amazing what people will turn a blind eye to, in order to keep their party in power.
