Have you ever wondered why this verse is where it is and why Jesus uses this language just before He goes into the second half of the Parable of the Unjust Steward?

I mean, if we think about, it almost seems kinda outta place. Here Jesus is chiding the Pharisees right after concluding the first half of this parable.
First, the Pharisees begin to deride Jesus. v. 14.
Then Jesus, after they deride Him, takes His turn and begins dressing...
Sadly it seems most Christians today preach about end time prophecies that believe prior to the end the church of true believers will be secretly raptured and flown home to heaven to escape the coming of tribulation.

Recently, I was discussing with a wonderful Messianic Jew that occasionally worships with us at our church how I thought the sabbath commandment - the 4th commandment, was actually, in a sense, a representation or type of the Mercy Seat. We are commonly taught in most Christian circles but especially Seventh-day Adventist teaching that the first 4 commandments of God's Moral law instruct us how to honor God, and the next 6 commandments instruct us how to honor our fellow man. 'Nuff said…right? I mean can the words of Jesus Christ be anymore plain? Not "a few" words, not "a couple" words, and certainly not just the words we like but EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
