Money

Posted 7th January 2011 at 07:01 PM by searchingsoul
I've been doing some planning for the future. Both as a potential massage therapist and as a worker at other jobs. In the past, I've enjoyed volunteering at the semi-local long term care facility and as a tutor at my college's comprehensive learning center. I've realized my hesitation to accept a paycheck for my work. Examining myself, I believe this could be because I don't want to become a money-grubber, or someone who's only reason for doing a job is because of the money. True, intentions are a big part of it, but who's to say I won't become that way in the future? Then I realized I was looking at it in the wrong light. Rather than doing the job for myself or my own gain, I realized I should look at it as earning my own wages so that my parents, who've been my financial support, don't have to pay even more than they already do.

If I earn my own money, in time, I can pay my own living expenses, car expenses, food expenses, and any other commodity that I spend on. My parent's don't need a financial burden. My dad's just a poor farmer, so he can't really afford too much extra spending. So rather for myself, I shall earn money for the sake of my wonderful parents!
