Weapon of Choice ~ JOY ~ ...

I think I know, now, what You feel when we abandon the love that You try so ceaselessly to share with us, Jesus. You see us go off on wild rhomps through every other thing, searching, to acquire such a love as Your's. We swear we have finally found the answer in a person, an idea, a thing, a place. You know that the loves must be anointed by You, and You know which are and which aren't before we do. We so often confuse the superficial satisfaction of some perceived need as LOVE, so special, so otherworldly......

I'm a whiner, lots of times. That sentence will scare off a few. WHY? Cause NONE of us like the sound of a whiner.... but we all go there. I come to You and whine away and get so very sure that the things that You allow and ask of me are TOO much for me. There just MUST be some way that I am meant to move forward WITHOUT all the difficulties.... and, sooner or later, I give in and yield to the design and trust as You ask of me. Before I get THERE I go through some variation of the maze of themes...

Jesus, there is a great joy in KNOWING OF Your complete and utter desire and ability to both forgive AND forget. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS ACKNOWLEDGE MY MISTAKES and poooooooof!, You are satisfied to redeem me into Your perfect fellowship and my mistakes are history. My biggest obstacle is remembering to acknowledge them. I repeat some mistakes over and over and over, reminding myself and others who are trying to endure me, that I do them. It's the repetitious ones that are the most difficult. I await...

Jesus, there's a familiar old skip in my step through the snow. For me, that had been missing when I used to work out in it. These past 5 years, I have been LOVING the snow. Everybody at work had that li'l kid twinkle in their eyes anticipating the snow coming our way today. We're all less anxious about it because we have the weekend to be snowed in and to dig out. So hunker down .....with a warm cup' o steamin' somethin-or-other, some good company, a special someone, a project, a book, a glass...
