God - a gardener?

I was weeding my moms flowerbed last summer and while I was sitting there being a bit bored thinking "It's more then half left" a thought crossed my mind.

I thought of God as a gardner and me as a flowerbed. The weeds in my life are my sins and just as I was picking the weeds away from the flowerbed so it would look its best so does God with me. He takes away my sins so that I can look my best. I know He takes proud in His work and admire me just as I admired the flowerbed...

Prayer, why is it so hard?

Why is it so hard to take time to pray? I think I have mentioned before and if not I'll do it now. For many years I've had a longing and a dream to get out of bed a while before I acutally have to get up and use that time to start the day off by praying.

I don't understand why it is so hard to make that a real thing. Or maybe it's just me making it hard, when I think about it I want to pray for an hour before I start my day. On the other hand I know that I can't start off with an hour,...
