I do not recall much of my life before kindergarden. I can recall once witnessing my mother shoot at a man who was breaking into our apartment. I do not know if she actually shot him, she has said she shot him in the behind which is funny in a way. I just remember hiding around the corner of a wall and him trying to come through the door.
I enjoyed elementary school and it was fairly uneventful for me. I got ran over when I was riding my bike by a teenager on a go cart and hurt my hand. I lived an area of town I never felt unsafe in but now as an adult I know the area is one of the worst in the city. I know my parents were doing the best they could at the time.
I can remember at that time my mother would take my brother and I to classes. She would go to one room and we would go to another room. We just played and I had no idea what was going on or why we were there. I can remember my mom having a fierce temper though. I do not like red bandanas to this day, because I can remember being told if mom had the red bandana on her head it meant we better leave her alone cause she was mad and we may get hurt.
