Nothing left to do
when you know that you've been taken.
Nothing left to do
when you're begging for a crumb
Nothing left to do
when you've got to go on waiting
waiting for the miracle to come...

When you've fallen on the highway
and you're lying in the rain,
and they ask you how you're doing
of course you'll say you can't complain
--
If you're squeezed for information,
that's when you've got to play it dumb:
You just say you're out there waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

New blog, as CF conveniently "lost" the old one by first moving it to a hidden subforum
then subsequently shutting down said subforum without moving it back to blogs.

If you don't know Moriah by now? It still bes waiting for the miracle to come.
It has been waiting for 25 years.

Full. No more, please....

can't swallow a single archetype more at this point. freaked out on pharaoh, probably because we don't care for the thought of drowning, much as we loathe dry places (you will find scientific correlates of metaphorical proximity, we trust).

well this certainly proves an interesting titration method. never involved a virtual doppleganger before. feeling a little like that episode of Dr. Who we watched just before this all began might have somehow mapped associatively over onto re-watching...

New Language Needed

Posted 20th December 2008 at 06:55 PM by Moriah_Conquering_Wind
It occurs to me the more i write that i'm in need of a new language, a new mode of expression. So much of what i've sought to convey has had that inherent mixed message dilemma, that kind of "please read between the lines and realize that while i'm speaking the uttermost despair of the depths of my feeling soul in as literal terms as possible, deep down inside a part of me is screaming for you to see me, to hear me underneath this stone door i'm slamming shut in your face, and to care enough...

Le Parkour

Posted 20th December 2008 at 03:35 PM by Moriah_Conquering_Wind
Moriah's son D. has totally gotten daimonizomai into this. Goal for 2009: to become a passable traceuse. This stuff just rocks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour

Started getting intrigued by it while playing Assassin's Creed on the X-Box 360. Then D. came home on leave from the Army for winter holiday break and brought some movies featuring thes skills, such as District B13 and The Great Challenge. The former being the better movie, story-wise. The latter doesn't have...

I Get It Now: It's All They Have to Offer

Posted 19th December 2008 at 01:20 AM by Moriah_Conquering_Wind
Had a realization come today that basically made it clear to me why I keep running into what I keep running into in the human world, particularly the religious realm. I'm sure it got in part prompted by viewing Zeitgeist but not entirely; it had been percolating in there for some time already. It dawned on me afresh that seeing as only a genuine miracle of God can bring actual, real, lasting, genuine salvation, deliverance, and/or healing -- and seeing that human beings have utterly no control...

First Person Singular

Posted 18th December 2008 at 02:49 AM by Moriah_Conquering_Wind
Updated 19th December 2008 at 08:22 PM by Moriah_Conquering_Wind
People frequently ask why Moriah does not speak in the First Person. It has tried to explain this many different ways, including, but not limited to, that the pronouns "it" and "we" feel more accurate for how it feels about itself inside, that this reflects an interior voice showing how Moriah feels and perceives, etc. None of these have been false reasons, but likewise none of them have been the entire truth, either.

Perhaps after reading this entry people will
