This is my blog, formerly called the boring 'My Blog'. I don't post here all that much (a few times every two weeks or so), but I think that most of what I do post is worth a read-and-a-half. Of course, that's just one man's opinion. So in closing, I ask you: what do poles and lights have in common?

George Tiller and God

Posted 1st June 2009 at 12:34 PM by The Scribe
If you are not aware, let me make you aware.

Yesterday, while serving as an usher in his church, the infamous nationwide abortionist Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed, unprovoked.

While it is not yet clear who is responsible (though a suspect is in custody), I have no doubt that this is the doing of a conservative anti-abortionist. If I am wrong, I am wrong. If I'm not, then take this note for what it is. You know, if I'm not, still, take it for what it is.

A Quiet Testimony

Posted 17th May 2009 at 12:04 AM by The Scribe
Updated 9th September 2009 at 11:07 AM by The Scribe
I was born into a Christian family. Believed in God for my entire life, but was never actually a Christian. When I was eight, we moved from Long Island to Ohio. I hated it, it took away everything I knew. I met my Aunt Sheila (my Mom's aunt) and quickly bonded to her. Made a great friend named Jericho, and for a year we were together almost every day. Then I switched schools and he moved a few years later.

Soon, my Aunt was re-diagnosed with cancer. That hit me hard. I loved her, even...

Tech Illiteracy in Relation to God

Posted 15th May 2009 at 12:58 AM by The Scribe
Whenever my Mom and Dad have a problem that's computer-related, they come to me for help. I love it. However, what really bugs me is whenever they are constantly asking me questions while I'm working on fixing the problem-- "What is it? What do you have to do? Is it fixable? How much will it cost?" As if I wasn't already working on it! Come on, 'rents, give me some breathing room! I know they're just concerned, and they're trying to understand... but... do you have to know how I'm going...

Message: Ghandi to Christians

Posted 1st March 2009 at 01:54 AM by The Scribe
"You Christians look after a document containing enough dynamite to blow all civilization to pieces, turn the world upside-down, and bring peace to a battle-torn planet. But you treat it as though it is nothing more than a piece of good literature."

-Ghandi

Isn't it sad how disregarded the Bible is? Not by unbelievers, but by believers.

Center for Rational Discussion and Debate

Posted 20th February 2009 at 11:49 AM by The Scribe
At the risk of sounding like a shameless plugger (something I undoubtedly am), I started a Facebook group which I titled the Center for Rational Discussion and Debate (let's just abbreviate from now on as CRDD-- yes, it looks remarkably like CRUD ). I did this because, frankly, most of the groups on Facebook that I see are very partisan. I am, of course, a very biased person-- a Christian, a moral conservative, a fiscal moderate... but, I try my very best to be fair. I don't shut out others because...
