first steps

So I haven't been eating exactly what the "meal plan" suggests, but I have cut out all the processed and prepackaged foods from my diet. The main thing for me is to find ways to incorporate the "meal plan" foods into our weekly diet and budget. Breakfast and lunch are easy, but dinner has to be something DH will at least try. So I'm experimenting with various foods from the "meal plan" and have found that some of them aren't very tasty at all! Since this is a life-long...

New realization

I REALIZE THAT I NEED TO PLAN AHEAD IF I WANT TO EAT HEALTHY.


First, I realize that I'm not eating enough. I only eat a couple times a day, but I eat bigger meals than I probably should. So I've gone to my new favorite website for "meal plans". It's great because it gives me options of what and how much to eat in a day.

Second, I realized today that I need to do prepare in advance - especially on days that I work. I end up eating horribly at work

Mood Swings

So far, things have gone great. I haven't noticed any physical cravings, and my psychological cravings have been weak and easily squashed. I've also noticed that I'm eating less and feeling full faster than before. I do need to increase my water intake, though. All in all, things seem to be going okay, BUT . . .

Yet another mental block . . .

Another "mental block" I have is that I hate exercise. I can remember in 6th grade, running around the field and thinking how much I hated it. I remember 10th grade, running around the soccer field and thinking how much I hated it. I remember boot camp, running EVERYWHERE and thinking how much I hated it. saying good-bye

I said good-bye to my "lover" tonight. I meant for it to be slow and lingering; but instead it was fast and frantic - over before I knew it - just like most of our encounters. I admit that I feel a little lost now without my lover. My heart is rent in two; the depth of my sadness seems abysmal at the lost of my lover.
