30 Days to Break a Habit: Day 30
Posted 1st June 2009 at 11:41 PM by SleeveBoy06
Day 30 at last.
And folks, I've got some good news.
I am standing tall.
Battle-scars a-plenty.
Wounded, hurt, and betrayed by my own sinful heart.
But I am standing tall, hand in hand with my Savior, who has been with me every step of the way.
Someone once said about the game of golf, "Enjoy the game - it ends too soon." How true that statement is toward this "game" I've been playing with God, sin then repentance then sin again then forgive again. I've enjoyed it - sin and all - and, to my worldly self, it has ended all too soon.
But I want to change that statement just a little bit. Because that "game" of my life is over.
I am free.
I am forgiven.
I am, at last, pure.
And while I've enjoyed the game and the roller coaster on which God has taken me these past ten years, that era of my life has, at last, come to an end.
We should all enjoy the game, because it does end too soon, even if ten years doesn't seem soon enough.
But a new game has begun, a game involving a future wife, a life lived for God, and a soul filled with the purity of His grace. Yes, we should enjoy the game, because it ends too soon, but, more than that, we should enjoy the game -
Because it starts right now.
